I’ve been an artist all of my life, coloring, painting and drawing of course but exploring nature and creating with anything I could find including mud, sticks and cardboard boxes which was a big part of my creative beginnings.  Nature continues to be a large influence in my work as well as social issues.

While in college I studied fine arts, painting, sculpture, metal work, jewelry design and construction, fiber and textile arts as well as commercial interior design. My desire to learn has never diminished, I’m still exploring new techniques and methods as a fulltime artist.

I’m a multi-medium abstract artist working in acrylics, textiles, fibers, papers, metal and natural materials. I’ve evolved a style that often incorporates a few or all of these.  My imagination seems endless and I’m eager to try new and unusual ways of expressing myself creatively while staying true to my materials and process.  I consider myself an artistic explorer, always eager to discover new, different and unique perspectives, while experimenting and having an occasional happy accident.

I owned my own gallery and working studio for four years where I worked, taught classes and facilitated a healing arts therapy workshop for Cancer patients, survivors and family members.  Now, I’m involved in a couple of galleries where I show my work and sit on the Board of one of them.

My art also allows me to voice social and political injustices or other issues not only visually but also to create an opportunity for a conversation.
